Zenumist and the Missing Alchemist

Ok so I wanted to get through secret passage to find Chimera, but then found out I only needed to do some quests and then Parwens quests to do so.
Anyways, after gaining Access to the passage I decided that I wanted to do all quests anyways, so I went after them. When I got to the Zenumist and the missing alchemist quest, I got stuck.
I did the secret lab part, where you hunt for the purple thing, but then he tells me to go to the missing alchemist's house and find documents... According to Strategy wiki I have to find the NPC on top, near the book using NPC chat key, since the key doesn't work on that map for some reason (not with the picture, the book at bottom right or the pipes OR the desk at top) I did it clicking manually. After trying several times in different forms ( from far, next to it, on top of it, etc...) It doesn't work...
So my question is... Is the quest glitched with the latest patch , or am I missing something inside the house? o_o

EDIT: On a side not, I couldn't find any Chimeras, is it out? or did I just have bad luck? (I also didn't find anyone else on the secret passage on any channel)
