I've been seeing many people lately critically analyze another person's pirate control. Of course it's common knowledge most users on Private Servers and those being leeched generally do bad. How do you feel you do?
10 - Flawless, shows complete mastery of the class
9 - Very admirable; can't get much better than this
8 - Pretty good; demonstrates a generally good understanding of how to use the class
7 - Not bad, shows some understanding though there is room for improvement
6 - Ok, can be better though needs more practice
5 - Below average, needs a lot of practice
4 - Does not demonstrate an understanding of how the skills work
3 - Poor, the user has not done much training which the character
2 - As little to no understanding of any aspect of the class
1 - Horrible, does not show any understanding of the class
Overall, I'll rate my Marauder control at a 6.5. Not great, and there's room for improvement.
I believe in Windraiders my Pirate control is a 9.5, and at Typhons it's about a 7, but I haven't really been able to train in other maps too well. Vikings, Gobies, none went too well. Also my Headless Horseman solo also made me burn some pots (being Level 10X), although I can contribute a ton of this to having generally bad equips, with a 19XX range at level 105. I believe my combos on small/big mobs go well, and during 1v1 towards a weak monster, but otherwise it's not too great.
How's yours?

Overall, I would give myself a 8. I'm not perfect, but I can control it pretty well in my opinion : P. Buccaneer is one of the funnest classes I have ever played so I practice a lot.

I'd say about 8.5 for me. I just have a bit of trouble chaining Energy Blast, probably because of bad key placement or because stupid Corkscrew Blow knocks them too far away.

When I first got to Viper, I was probably about 4, since the leap from training between Buccaneer and Viper was a huge change. However, after grinding for long, long hours and getting to level 137, I'm probably around 9 ~ 9.5. I'm not the best, but I do try my best. Sure, I make my mistakes, but everyone does. It used to be hard for me to use the invulnerability frames to my advantage, but now I've learned to stay invulnerable more than 90% of the time without the new KMS skill updates added to JMS yet.

I'd go for an 8 or so... though that will change when I get to 120+ and start using new skills.

On my new Striker, Saturnine, in KMS I'm about a 1. =(
Then again, I've only had him for 2 days and I haven't experienced the full potential of the class.
Plus I only have punch, kick, and a bad keyboard layout. 8r

Derp.. 10. I don't really see how Brawler's require so much more "control mastery" than other classes. I mean, how complicated can Barrage -> (Insert desired skill here) -> Barrage be?

The only place i exhibit a 10 is at MP3 and C-2. Everywhere else i'm a 7 or so.

Because choosing a skill is moar complicated than not having to think at all.

Probably 8-8.5
With the exception of Energy Blast and SSKing huge ass mobs, I am usually able to stay untouched and can chain Blast and SSK without a problem. Latanica is lol where I can stay untouched as long as I don't lag, but I purposely take damage using Double Upper and Flast Fist spamming. Killing Latanica in 4 minutes instead of the usual 3 is too slow for me since Energy Drain is my fastest source of single target DPS. It's also become the point where I can make split second decisions on whether I hit all the mobs in front of me and I should Corkscrew for invincibility, or SSK to gather more. Can't wait for 4th job skills. ONE LEVEL AWAY.
Also, <3 122% jump. Makes hopping over Himes enjoyable. So is CSB + Energy Blast jumping to gather.

Probably about an 8 overall, but a 4 at Typhons. I soloed from 1-102, so I have some good experience, especially with comboing, but I just can't seem to keep my footing at Typhons.

9/9.5 for me? =p I have been earning mesos ever since 2nd job when i got a lvl 1 screw punch. And even now when i'm a viper now, im still earning where ever i train, be it skelegon or newties. Chaining csb>ds>csb>eb is enough to kill mobs fast while maintaining invincible. Bossing wise, its even better, i can use zero pots while manoning, or a few (depending on whether i make mistakes).

The challenge of being a viper is nothing but only to control if perfect. Its different from other class since it doesnt have a spammable skill. Vipers required to chain attacks together, while maintaining invincible and dealing maximum damage. Everyone can be a viper while just spamming DS>Barrage and repeat, or just transform and spam sw, however, whats the point? A viper is not about spamming a particular skill and keep getting hit.
