So, for the experts that vacationed in Canada (from the US).

So I'm going to Canada this Summer, for a week or so, I'm sure a lot of people here knows? Not sure. Anyways, I was wondering on what to do, as in how to spend and use my money. I heard that bringing cash was a bad idea, because:

a) I plan on getting wasted at my gf's Prom
b) ^You're screwed if your wallet is stolen.

So I have a Debit Card and a Credit Card (2,000 dollars limit). I heard some people said use a Debit card because the exchange rate for Dollars to Canadian currency was better. HOWEVER, other people also said that using a Credit Card was better. I have a Mastercard "Citizens Bank" Debit card, and a 1st Financial Bank Visa card, if that matters. Just kinda curious about this. I also heard about something called a Traveler's Check, sounds complicated. Any tips?

PS: Going to Montreal, Quebec, if that helps me out at all. <_<

Quebec I don't know that much about, but I can probably direct you to some people that live there if you want. If your at all heading east of there I would be able to help.

Suggestion: Learn french for Quebec! Almost everyone there is bilingual though so doesn't matter. =)

If you go to a store and speak English to the barter or who ever your buying from, and they cross their arms on their chest. It means they wont serve to you because you don't have the, "French legacy," or some pomegranate like that.

Yea just a heads up.

You might want to check into traveler's checks from your bank. I use them anytime I travel outside of the US for security.

Oh, and people want to visit Canada?! j/k! Chill out kids that are gonna freak out.

Buy a bunch of red leaf shaped ornaments for christmas for your gf and leave.
