Assassinate v. Barrage?

A friend and I were arguing over this. It's clear as day that Assassinate is faster than barrage, but my friend disagrees. I just need the proof.

Basically, I just need to know which skill's animation goes through faster. Compare Assassinate (With booster) to Barrage (With booster and SI lv. 1) and tell me the results. Don't mind the time it takes to go in and out of dark sight, as that would only be a hassle and I can easily factor that in myself.

I'd appreciate it.

I think Assassinate is faster too, but I could be wrong. Hell, Greg, you have both classes. <_< You can easily determine this.

I know you and him have a Buccaneer, I meant you using your Shadower and YOUR Bucc and test it out.

Told ya. Assassinate was definitely faster. If you tested it out yourself, it's pretty obvious. <_<; I tested out how much damage my NL did in comparison to my DK at Gobies once, lolololol.

Umm greg sorry to burst ur bubble dude, but those numbers take into account barrages delay. The actual animations are pretty similar. I think assassinate is still slightly faster though.

What? He wanted to prove if Assassinate was faster than Barrage. Obviously, you'd have to take into account Barrage's delay. It's not like he wants to compare whether or not a Buccaneer can Barrage with a hack faster than a Shadower can Assassinate.

If you take into account barrage's delay then the assassinate is the obvious winner and he wouldn't have had a debate with whoever he had a debate with.

Well if they are figuring in delay times and his friend still thought barrage was faster then greg's friend is jus dumb .

If you took the delay into account for every attack, then Buccaneers would be attacking so slowly, they'd hardly be moving at all. You compare the speed of the actual attack, not how long it takes for the attack to cool down. That's like saying Marksmen take 10 seconds to use Snipe.

In any case, the same thread says Barrage Faster (2) is 1830 ms, which is still a bit slower than Assassinate Faster (2)'s 1620 ms.

Animation doesn't include any time waiting or executing other skills during its delay.

Now now, you're well aware I always preferred my Shadower over my Bucc. Just because I got in to a little argument with Mike over Assassinate's attack speed doesn't mean I'm bashing the class I spent three months leveling.
