It's theorized to start on the 11th, but there's no proof of that because Valve doesn't exactly tell us. People are just saying the 11th based on earlier trends and stuff, I believe.

I hope the 11th, just because Steam has been behind on the sales recently in comparison to like GMG and Amazon.

Yeah, I wouldn't believe any "screenshots" at all.

It's definitely not impossible nor implausible that it will start tomorrow, considering I think last year it started on or around July 4th.

I'm not good at waiting for sales, I buy most of the games I want for whatever price they are at the time. So nothing I'm hoping to see in particular, but I'll probably still buy a few things.

I'm major budgeting right now but if I see Civ 5 in there, I'll cave a bit since I've been meaning to try that game for some time now.

Other than that, who knows?

Thought it had started. WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT TO ME US?

Left 4 Dead, Left 4 Dead 2, and basically every Sonic game ever made were all selling for pennies off the dollar this past weekend. Nabbed "Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed" for $8 when its usually $30 (and DLC is included in that $8), the others were no more than $3 a piece. Dust: An Elysian Tail was 50% off the week prior.

I probably spent around $30 for 9 games or so. The "sale" has already started as far as I'm concerned!

Pretty much anything on my Wishlist is what I'm hoping goes on sale.

The #1 game I want to go on sale is Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. It only recently dropped from its absurd $60 to $30 and it's only gone on sale ONCE, at 50% off, which I completely missed.

According to indie developer Nemesys Games, maker of the reverse tower game Fortix 2 has said that the summer sale will start today. Press release statement from them:

"Fortix 2 Summer Sale price cut! Fortix 2 will be 50% discounted during the July 11-18 Steam Summer Sale! We are cutting the price in half and, because of our recent permanent price drop, that makes Fortix 2 temporarily only $0.99!"

Hopefully this is true, my body is ready.
