What kind of upstream internet speed do you need to host a small server for this? I have pomegranatety 15/1 internet right now but I was thinking about upgrading to host a server.

Make sure you pay attention to the color of an enemy's name, and not to even attempt groups (ESPECIALLY Wizards) until you are a few levels in. Wizards will rape you with some beam attack you can't do anything about, it needs some serious balancing. Any enemy that's not light blue named is pretty much going to slaughter you if you're Level 1. It makes getting Level 2 really hard, but once you do things get a little easier.

Im probably going to put up a server today once more people start waking up so we can play together. Also what class are you playing? Are you paying attention to enemy name colours? Are you using your right click to stun? Dodging? I do have to admit the first couple levels are really rough and if you arent a water mage take a lot of potions. I do however recommend you look for cows and kill them, they are normally weak and give 5 exp while humans give 1.

If someone wants to play multiplayer mention me or just go on IRC

So, I was looking at the world map and thought maybe it was a little small...So I decided to run for the edge. A lot larger than it looks, but while I was walking I also realized that I hadn't gotten into a new "biome" yet. That's when I realized the map was probably sized to my current biome and would add more as I go....I was right.

 Spoiler
Light Blue is what the game made after I hit the edge. I literally said, "Oh my god!" because there's so much.

Water Mage forever OP. No seriously. I don't dodge, because it screws up the innate healing from my own skills. Unless the enemy is doing 5+ damage a hit I leave most encounters at full HP. Then I can use Healing Stream at full movement speed, so I can never die against melee enemies unless I'm careless.

Played the game for about 6-7 hours on and off. And about 4 of those were co-op with my friend. Definitely has the makings of a good game, having said that: it has a lot of tweaking and changes that need to be made. I found that the first few levels of the game were the most ball-busting hardest and once I got to about level 4, leveling became a lot easier. I don't know how I feel about that. Usually it's easy first, then harder, not completely flipped. I also feel like the first dungeon areas around the first town near your spawn should be made easier, as the first hour or two of the game we were just getting pretty frustrated. The game also needs some sort of direction. I know that it's kinda like Minecraft where you just set out to to do whatever the hell you want, but with the game being more focused on RPG elements, it needs SOME kind of direction. We had ONE guy in town mention an area farther out in the map, he marked it for us, so we traveled there and promptly died in seconds from the enemies there.

I also feel like there needs to be some serious work on the classes. And yes, I am aware that he plans to add more specializations and a more elaborate skill tree by the full release. But as it stands now, Warriors are just ridiculously difficult to enjoy the game on. Rogues are almost in the same state, however one of their specializations--Ninja--which allows them to dodge all attacks when using a special attack, makes them a little easier to play. As it is now, ranged classes are just by far better and more fun to play as, and not NEARLY as frustrating. Don't even get me started on a Water Mage. After my friend got off, I started a solo character--a Water Mage--to play. I was able to take on groups of red-lettered enemies, of which me and my friend weren't able to even kill together (and we were both level 5 with appropriate gear), by myself at level 2. It's ridiculous. You can attack yourself to heal yourself, or if you are near the splash area of the enemies you're attacking, you get healed, the special attack is an automatic KO/knockback attack and it does decent damage, you begin to attack faster and deal more damage the longer you focus your attacks on an enemy(ies), AND they get a skill that heals them constantly until the MP runs out, so I can go back to full health instantly if I'm in need of it. As a level 2 Water Mage, I was able to take down 4 red-lettered boss enemies (two in dungeons, which I also cleared entirely out by myself), when my friend and I struggled to even kill a single one (he's a Berserker, my other character is a Ninja).

Finally, some bugs I came across:
- Holding down the "o" button instantly fills up your MP bar for some reason
- Hitting the left CTRL button freezes the game (maybe this is a pause button? perhaps it's intentional if it is)
- If you are holding a 2H weapon, if you have a 1H weapon in your inventory you can click on it with the middle mouse button to equip it, even though you have a 2H weapon equipped and dual wield them, which gives you an insane boost in attack strength
- The respawn system in general. I don't know if it's working as intended or not, but even if it is, it needs fine-tuning, because it's absolutely dreadful. Whenever I, or my friend, would die, we wouldn't respawn at the nearest respawn area (those angel statue things), it would just be entirely random. I recall walking past an angel respawn statue and died like two feet away from it by an Insect Guard, my friend killed it, I hit respawn and instead of spawning right there, I spawned so far away that I couldn't even see his icon on the map anymore. What the hell?

With all that said: yes, I know it's an alpha, which is why I'm just stating my thoughts on the game so far. Like I said, it has the potential to be the next great "Minecraft" game.

I've been playing a warrior, my stuns are kind of a hit or a miss it seems. Dodging seem's really difficult with it being the mouse button lol

Thanks for letting me know. Yeah the server executable full on crashed. Guess there are some bugs with it.

Edit: It's back up now.

Server back up again. I wonder if many other people are having this problem...

I am now running it with XP SP3 compatibility and under administrator mode.

Edit: Crashed again. I'll run it without compatibility. When I get home I will rig myself a small server with some custom settings. I'm slightly surprised at how many people are already making custom server software.

Looks like it's just crashing left and right, so I'll just solo for now.

Thanks a lot for the server Zelkova.

Yeah sorry about that. I hope it gets a bit more stable soon, it's still Alpha after all.

Yeah, it's not your fault at all, completely expected of an Alpha. Easier to just not bother with it for a little.

Also since there was apparently a patch, that might be messing things up if people updated and you didn't.
