Mega Man for Smash Bros!?

I missed a lot of the start, but for Super Mario 3D World, was it shown what kind of world selection there is? I assume the basic level selection as usual (World 1-1, 1-2, etc) but I still always hope for hub worlds to be used... (Also, Peach being playable makes me happy.)

It's a rushed game. It's super mario 3d land, but on wii u, with different stages and 4 player.

Nintendo has ditched the idea of making the 3d mario games the absolute best in the genre that they did on Wii with galaxy 1 and 2, and is going with the paint by numbers approach that 3D land did.

Also, if retro is the one working on that donkey kong country game, I will blow a gasket. What a waste.

And only 2 announcements for the new smash bros, yawnnnnnn. Megaman was ok, but I'd rather have seen a bunch of new nintendo characters, with the 3rd parties announced later. And how many people had the animal crossing guy near the top of their "I want this in smash bros" lists, really?

I actually enjoyed the mario 3d games more than the galaxy games. Seriously the multiplayer aspect is ridiculously fun. Plus I think there are going to be other characters besides those 2. We'll see though

I'm so happy they introduced Mega Man, but that intro for Animal Crossing Villager? Unreal. I had chills.
And they made The Villager exactly how I wanted! Using his tools

Too excited for Super Smash Bros now. 100% buying a Wii U package with it.

I'd care more about that Mario game if i can actually play as Peach in single player instead of her being stuck as a lolmultiplayeronly char

On a scale from 1 to 10, I'd say that is maybe a 5.

It wasn't a great presentation, lots of "Will be coming in 2014"s and virtually no surprises.

Also confirmed that Nintendso 3rd party support consists basically of ubisoft and a game or two from sega/capcom. Ugh.

It was said there will be more to be shown during the week via Nintendo Direct.

.... Uh, you enjoyed galaxy less than the 3d games? That doesn't even begin to make sense. In particular, 3D lands worlds were so boring, tiny and sterile compared to galaxies. I think I'll probably just skip this one. Or wait for it to drop in price a bit. Definitely not worth £40.

Obviously there are going to be more characters, but it just shows how little development has been done. We got new characters for brawl in the initial trailer (ZSS, Wario, Pit, Metaknight, Snake). Here we got animal crossing guy and megaman, neither of which could have even a fraction of the impact that the others did. That, and brawls trailer was much better than this ones .

You're talking about the recent super mario brothers wii games? Get a group of 3-4 people and it's a riot, I've never had so much fun playing a multiplayer game

No, those are 2d mario games. Because they play in 2d. 3d mario games are the ones where you move in 3d. . Besides that, we already ahve that on Wii U, and it fell on its arse with getting people to buy a wii u.

On other note X looks cool,Mario kart 8:anti gravity look amazing, mario 3D look great plus I won't be jumping on other people's head and wonderful 101 multiplayer

Well, consider it's a "cute" character using cute stuff to smack faces left and right. I see it an interesting character. And they gave him a balloon fighter move hah. I need to see what his watering can does, for example.

All I can think of after watching these conferences is Highlander. It was like Sony and Nintendo kinda teamed up like Connor MacLeod (Christopher Lambert) and Ramirez (Sean Connery) to chop off the head of the evil Kurgan. Except this time Ramirez didn't die. And Ramirez and Connor decided not to destroy one another in this version through mutual respect
