Fire Emblem Awakening [SPOILERS INSIDE]

Finally managed to preorder the game, so if everything goes right I'll have my copy on the 19th of april.

God paralogue 18 is such a pain. I have to talk to a guy 3 times to recruit him and most of my units kill him so easily :|

I forgot how much I missed support conversations in the Fire Emblem games. It's been a while since I played Shadow Dragon, so I don't remember if it had any or not, but they were probably the one thing I missed the most in Radiant Dawn, and I've really enjoyed filling up the support log in Awakening.

Just unequip Chrom and pair him up with his wife. That's the only method I've found to work well.

The trick is to distract him and have his AI attack someone from a distance who cant retaliate. It's just hard because a lot of those people who are able get screwed by sages.

It helps to pair up people who have Galeforce. Having the ability to move 3 times in one turn helped me take out all of the sages and snipers around him, so they wouldn't gang up on Chrom when I moved him near him.

Too bad there's no Nihil-like skill in this game.

Ugh I'm at chapter 3 and counter is destroying me. Javelin is helpful but it's so goddamn weak :/

Just looked at weapon data and wow, the 1~2 range weapons in this game suck balls.

I don't have the game, but when do you get access to Hand Axes? Cause just from looking at stats, Javelins are like throwing rotten twigs at your opponent...

Well it's rank D and around chapter 10 if I remember right.

You should get access to hand axes at the 5th chapter in the game.

Edit: There's only one hand-axe in chapter 5 and it comes from an enemy, buyable ones come after you beat chapter 7

Lol, that sucks. So Frederick is like 4HKO'ing if he can't get access to Hand Axes while barely being 2HKO'ed, and 'errbody else that has range attacks is ORKO'ed. And it doesn't seem like Frederick is doubling any enemies anytime soon with 10 base SPD. And that's just Chapter 3?

As soon as you get kellem and avoid luna+/counter, it's a lil easier, most enemies do 3-4 damage to like 30 hp.

Gonna be honest, I'm going to restart and do defence spec for my avatar :/ I just need a good magic range'd attacker. Although I'll start a new chapter so if it's not as reliable as I'm hoping I'll just carry on.

Update yesterday for infinite regai or whatever. I haven't tried the other maps yet. Oh and dreadfighter class

Chapter 25, even on hard mode, is dumb. So many reinforcements hitting me with 20% hit rate consistently.
