Fire Emblem Awakening [SPOILERS INSIDE]
#41
Lozmaster Wrote:It really isn't. It just used to involve an arena/letting bosses heal instead of whatever Khaniwest is doing. Clearly he needs to man up and do lunatic the hardcore way without using any of the DLC. Biggrin

Meh, I remember I grinded the arena the first time I played through Blazing Sword.

The rest of the game became too damn easy, so I tried never to overdo that again...

Believe me, you can't. By chapter 16 everyone has pretty much max stats anyway.

Also it's really cool that you can get random characters from past Fire Emblem games. You either have to buy them off or beat them to recruit. AND they're usable in story mode (albeit stripped). Gonna try to get Jaffar soon (as soon as I'm convinced he can't annihilate my team). You can also recruit other people's tacticians if you streetpass with them using the same method.

I have to say, this is probably the best FE I've played so far, as well as one of the 3DS's heavy hitters. The game's so gorgeous, and so far no gameplay elements have really frustrated me (besides permadeath, but I signed myself up for that). RNG's a peach though.
Welll good luck with Jaffar and...

If you actually had to grind in Sacred Stones...
Then you're doing it wrong.

Aww man, I want to get this game so badly now just to be masochistic with Lunatic! Frown

I only played Lunatic on the demo and god damn, it was hard as balls. Their weapon qualities were leagues above yours and so many Myrmidons...

Lunatic + is supposedly twice as hard. They get skills such as Luna (halves def/resist) as soon as the game starts. You essentially pray to the RNG god's the entire time.

Mastery skills at the beginning of the game? Dafaq is that bullcrappery?

That ain't even fair.

Sounds like Awakening can give Thracia 776, which I hear is the hardest in the series, a run for its money.

The dlc takes away that competition. Granted your first 4 chapters will be hell, even the risen on lunatic are max stats from the start of the game, so you can't grind and only rely on frederick, your default starting second class unit. But with mastery skills he even get's 4 shotted, so it's honestly pure luck.

After chapter 5, assuming you spend 10 bucks on the DLC, you (by thursday anyway) can easily grind your characters. The thing is though, by chapter 9 (from what I hear) most characters are already at max stats but not max level. By chapter 15 they are max level. It's still a tedious process but the exp map should make leveling to 15 done easily in one run, if it's as ridiculous as the gold map (75k per run if you manage to kill all the monsters).

But for those already in lunatic, a quick way to get 3 characters to god tier;

Dancer
Staff Wielder (Maribelle)
Staff wielder (Lissa)
(Those two specificalyl are the best because nearly all of their classes use staves)

Clear any map and leave the boss alone, have 100+ rescue staves, along with the dancer (easily done by completing the gold map once) and have the clerics essentially do every class that can use staves. Took me 173 turns but I got my dancer to 30, bother my clerics through all their subclasses. Now I'm training them as Dark Fliers for gale force to give to the child Ioana.

It's actually worse than that. Enemies have "+" versions of certain skills. For example Luna+ gives every attack the Luna effect. Apparently some enemies also have a skill called Hawkeye which gives them 100% accuracy on every attack.

The more I learn about this endeavor the more I think I can't do it lol. I'm currently trying to completely destroy lunatic and transfer my avatar over.

I still don't have it in me yet to try and do a lunatic playthrough. I'm running through the game again on hard mode, and by the time I'm finished with that I'll probably man up and try lunatic. I don't think I ever want to touch Lunatic+ though, regular Lunatic already seems crazy enough for me.

Well...
1.- There are Assasins (like Jaffar) in game?

2.- You can Silence (OHKO) enemies in "SNK Boss" (Lunatic) mode?

1) Yes, jaffar is also in the game
2) What you're referring to is Leathality. It's activated based off a percentage which is your skill level divided by 4. Some bosses/enemies have a skill that negates it however.

The EXPonentiation Growth map is now available to play for people who bought the Golden Package! Also, Lost Bloodlines 1 and the Lost Bloodlines DLC pack are now available.

Lost Bloodlines contains Leif's stage, Alm's Stage, and Seliph's stage.

Alm's Stage and Seliph's aren't playable yet, but they allow you to recruit them, plus they give you the Demon Fighter class scroll, and the Paragon Manual respectively. It's a LOT cheaper to buy the pack. The Lost Bloodline maps are 3.00$ a pop, so getting all three for six dollars isn't a bad deal.
