Combination of buffs and potions for highest possible range?
#1
I was just wondering if anyone could help me figure out the combination of buffs and potions that would result in the highest attack range increase on a Hero. Thank you very much in advance.

Not sure why you'd need that, since Heros hit max damage at around 100k range.
Also, keep in mind that range isn't everything. For example, your own (Advanced) Combo does nothing to your range, but is essential to your actual damage. For another example, Speed Infusion will not show up on your range, nor on your damage numbers, but unless your sword is Fast(4), it will greatly improve your bossing and LHC/SH training speed.

That said, I believe all classes' party buffs stack now (someone please correct me if I'm wrong), so there's no question of "best combination", just get them all. Combat Orders first, so you can get improved boost from all other 4th-job buffs such as Advanced Bless.

As for potions, Gelts will still give more of a range boost than any Alchemy potion(s), and I think it doesn't stack with any potions.

I'm not counting temporary buffs you get for turning in a quest or killing a boss, not sure which of them stack with potions and which don't.

Get the the hero potion alchemy line (+6att-+30att) look at the crafting thread to find out how to make them. They stack with other buffs. Also if u have a pink buff +10att and some hp/mp, they also stack. But u will have to buy these from someone else. Also craft a str boost potion (40~80str). these dont stack but you dont have another active skill that adds str so it helps.

To use both of these u will have to be a Alchemist for your professions.

I'm interested in finding out the highest range my Hero can possibly reach. I didn't know that about buffs. Thank you for that information. However, some stat-giving use items have descriptions where they stack and I'm curious if there's any more aside from these ones (or if there are better ones).

Would apples or stews stack with those?

From my understanding, Apples (and other attack pots) would stack with both of them since the Legendary Coin Cake Buff says it stacks with other buffs and the Strength Potion provides STR.

Does anyone know if you can stack two of the Strength Potion at once? The description implies it but I've never tested myself.

As far as I know, no. But if you are an Alchemist you can use two different alchemy potions at once, which other people can't.

I can verify that cake buff stacks with absolutely everything. +stat pots are in a separate category and do stack with +att pots (WARNING: there may be some descrepancies when pots add both +att and +stat)

If you're just interested in getting the highest possible range then:

+80str alchemy potion
+30 attack alchemy potion (replace with another 80str potion if it's possible to stack two, I don't know about this)
Onyx Apple
Legendary Coin Cake Buff
Spiegelmann's Buff
(Pink Bean/HT Buff - do these stack with Spiegelmann's?)

CO
MW33 (possible with inner ability)
Rage
Mihile Rage (pretty sure this stacks with Hero rage)
Adv. Bless
ADA
Maha's Blessing (don't know if this doesn't stack with anything)

Did I forget anything?

Replace Onyx Apple (100 attack) with Gelt Chocolate (120 attack)

Echo of Hero
Mega Monkey Magic
Cannoneer link skill (adds 15 all stat)
Jett link skill (3 attack and 3 allstat at minimum, can go up to 30 each (I think?) with liberal application of NX)
Will of the Alliance
Empress's Blessing (level 30, of course)
if you really want to go all out, level 200 Paladin and Bucc cards (or whichever cards those are that add fake range)

There's probably more.

Didn't know this and didn't want to waste one to find out. Thanks for the info.

You could replace Gelt Chocolate with Naricain's Demon Elixir if you can find any. Those are 140 attack for 8 minutes.

The +15-all buff (Haunted Mansion Cake) stacks with the other +stat buffs, too - although the atk on the Haunted Mansion Cake does not stack.

Hero and Mihile Rage stack.

For some reason, it didn't stack at all with a stew (disappeared as soon as I used a stew), +stats and all. It was pretty strange.

Are you sure the stats disappeared? The cake buff icon will disappear if you use any attack pot, but the stats will still be there.
