You're mistaken. I graduated just after my 15th birthday. I knew those 17/18 year olds less than a year and haven't been back to that town in over a decade.
I have no interest in them or their lives, nor they in mine. All of my school days are just a faded memory of another time and another place.

I associate today with no one I knew before I was 18 outside of family.
