Of the items they showed, I have a bit of an issue with Fragment of Destiny. It gives damage to Spectral Blades, but also buffs elemental damage bonuses. This either implies that Spectral Blade runes will apply elemental damage or the item itself does not boost Spectral Blades damage enough to justify calling it a "melee Wizard" weapon since it gives comparable boosts to other elements. It does however point away from Wicked Wind Critical Mass builds which is interesting at the same time, though I hope they improve the other Energy Twister runes to be as useful.
I'm curious about what would happen if you swapped the Homunculus after casting Zombie Dogs/Gargantuan. Not sure if they're promoting gear switching or not, but that would be interesting and at the same time, leans towards that philosophy they seem to disagree with where you need to do something tedious to be competitive, i.e. have a gearset available to do these CD reductions, or a Maximus for example to proc that demon slave, which is quite a good idea by the way.
In the end game though, Homunculus has such terrible base damage I don't think many people could justify its offhand at the cost of that damage unless the new pet runes are amazing.
