I CBA to look for more or count up exactly how many posts are in those threads, but taking a cursory look, he's contributing/discussing way more than just showing off. He's also only one of two examples that are chronic problems.

Showing off at the current moment is not a problem by itself. The given issue of users ignoring authority IS a problem. The solution is too large for the former, does not solve the latter.
