Just remember that this doesn't mean he can take any (compatible) blood donors even if they're HIV-positive, or sleep with any HIV-infected woman/man. Given enough dosage and genetic variation, resistance can be overcome. I don't think I want his blood for transfusion either even if he's the same blood group as me.
