The new second stick position is absolutely wrong though, I can't imagine pressing the buttons with one of my fingers while having my thumb simultaneously on the camera stick.

That's exactly what I was thinking. If you want to play something like, say, Monster Hunter, it'd be near impossible. They should've gone with full-scale 360 imitation haha.
