It could also be noted that moving to left or the right in lieu of actually moving forward would be semi-progress if the object in question had not previously been demonstrated to move at all. IE: "It's a start".
You could argue semantics forever on a living language, but that comes across as just wanting to insert yourself into the conversation with absolutely nothing relevant to the topic to add, so let's just drop it and stay on track, hm?
