There are very few reasons why your chopstick should point more than 15-30 degrees above the horizontal plane. I hope this helps in your future chopstick usage. It's so versatile, I even use it for cooking (especially when the spoon or the spatula or turner is just too clumsy). I could eat a good meal with a pair of coffee stirrers - those have saved my ass a good many times when I forget to bring my utensils XD

Oh hold on, I use them properly. I am the master of tableware. This girl I knew was using them improperly and stabbed herself. I most definitely enjoyed her suffering. I have no troubles what so ever in using chopsticks!
But nothing is better than a spoon. Absolutely nothing.
