I'm actually with Crazy4Dex now, he might be sticking to that fight for now because he shares a goal with Kabuto, but he will break free any time.
The only reason why Itachi broke through was because of the genjutsu, which he had intended to be used on Sasuke. It wasn't due to his own strength at all. The entire thing was due to Kabuto not realizing that Itachi set such a thing up.
Madara obviously doesn't care whether he's being used or not, because his plan was the Moon's eye plan anyway. As he sees it, there's no reason to not want to fight.
