Girl Monkey + Boy Monkey that hosted the event.

8~ Super monkeys that just observed us. They didn’t introduce themselves but I recognized Cox. At least half of them looked extremely bored during the whole thing, I even saw 1 super monkey just text through the whole thing.

Two sessions total, mine was #1. Pretty sure we were grouped together based on similarity. All of us were 17~21/college and played 6 years ~ beta. Based on a comment I read somewhere else, it’s a safe assumption session #2 was comprised of mostly 13-15 year olds + people who played maybe 1~ year

Girl + Boy monkey do not know anything specific about MS, even admitted it

Us: Yea we know lol

Girl monkey: We don’t play MS or know a lot about the game, so what do you mean by that statement

Part 1 (20 min)

- What is your name
- What do you usually do
- What is your job/level
- Where and when do you play MS

Part 2 (40 min)

- What does MS offer you?
- What features, characteristics, etc make it unique?
- What things do you not like, what problems, etc?
- MS is supposed to be a user experience, what is missing from MS?

Girl Monkey wrote quick summaries of what we said on sticky notes and put on poster board under questions.

Highlights + general responses

- Offers a way to be interactive with people and do things together
- Stress reliever
- Only 2D sidescroller around

- Account security. You get hacked, there’s no real compensation
- Tickets are a waste of time. I’ve had tickets that were made over a year ago and still not answered
- Needs more GM presence
- Exploits, glitches etc, seem to go ignored for days while everyone else knows about them

I don’t think it’s right that an item should be worth more than what someone can hold in their inventory

200 shad: The autoban system is faulty

200 hero: Yea lol hold EEEEEE

200 shad: You have people getting banned for stuff like that but people are actively fly hacking or botting and nothing happens

200 shad: I like to go bossing but half of the bosses are glitched. We can’t even HT properly because only the first 30 people can go and then after that you need to solo. I don’t know if that was intentional by you guys or not. Not everyone can solo and that’s really unfair. I can personally solo but I don’t really need the items that drop from it while my friends do yet they can never go so that’s really unfair.

Girl monkey: This may be obvious but I need to ask/clarify. What exactly about that is unfair?

200 shad: Even empress is glitched and that’s supposed to be the ultimate challenge. We can’t kill her because she heals back up all the time. I do have an empress dagger only because I spent 9bil mesos on it but not everyone can do that.

15x UA drk: I’d like to add on, that because of stuff like that, lots of people make these theories. For example, they say empress is glitched on purpose and then you guys introduce the music box event to get the weapons to make more money

200 mercedes: The GM presence is horrible. You can take a stroll through certain maps, and WE ALL KNOW which maps they are, and you’ll find botters everywhere. They’ve been there for months, the same exact ones

200 hero: I’ve played since beta and it was a lot harder to level up back then. Nowadays you can get to 120 in about 2 days

200 mercedes mind: pfft, 2 days for 120. Hahahahaha

200 shad: When I’m not on MS, I like to go on basil and talk to people. I get all my news from basil and it’s faster/better than the main website

Girl monkey: How many of you use basil

8~ super monkeys asked us some stuff for 15~ min

Random guy super monkey: Why do you make so many different characters?

Cox: You guys all talked about how the game is interactive and how you can talk with other people. But maplestory doesn't really have the "tools" to do that. For example, on facebook you can group people in lists and stuff or talk to certain people only but maple doesn't have that sort of system (yet).

200 mercedes mind: That’s what you really care about..? How people can talk to each other better?

200 hero: You can actually rearrange your buddies into lists and talk to specific groups all the time. I do it all the time and it’s really nice

200 mercedes mind: But rearranging your blist right now gets you autobanned

Random tidbits:

- Their office is nice. Even got a fountain soda dispenser in the middle of it
- The work area is people on computers with headphones on, but I saw mostly blank/blue screens
- Giant flat screen TV that constantly plays commercials/promotional videos for all games
- Saw the coffee mugs from the “Design coffee mug” event in a glass case
- Saw the giant wooden bench swing thing that’s in blabberbox videos
- I don’t think we got to ask 1 single question, just answered stuff
