Mainly because science is based off empirical evidence, does not promote itself as infallible, does not promise that there is some reward for those that believe, and frankly has no central immutable belief system.
Those are what I understand to be the main tenants of a religion.
Refer to the fact that morality is subjective. Those things aren't necessarily moral by someone else's standards. Especially the first two.
Because cursing and hitting your parents are good morals. Disrespecting woman without any ties with her is morals. okay then, whatever you say captain.
Im not gonna argue about 'rewards' here. even if we don't get it, its good enough we died trying to be a good person.
