my squad doesn't need barrage at any of the bosses i've gone too. (which is just short of cygnus at the moment)
eg: i am horrible at van leon, my first solo attempt brought him down to 10% before running out of time, each time i died i lost my super transformation. a czak solo is nigh impossible since every seduce that kills you means you are without super transformation.

so far, barrage as it is , is currently pointless at any boss I've been too, corkscrew blow is far more effective.
at present, for me, the only reason to use barrage is out of super transformation, where barrage+dragonstrike macro does deal more damage than a pure dragonstrike combo (at least the last time i tested it pre bigbang),
yes. timeleap is pretty much unnecessary now since the pb/cht runs i am in doesn't even bother with bishops/ress and are down in 30 mins or less,
the task for vipers at least in my world is strictly damage dealing. thus doubling dps will certainly make (at least where I am concerned) vipers more effective.

in otherwords, I am very pleased with the changes to vipers, other than the fact i will miss using snatch at pvp. if only they made energy blast have the effect of snatch at pvp. it would be wonderful. (yes, it should be made into a tractor beam)
All I know is that Barrage does 100% knockback on monsters, which at some bosses would be extremely useful and adds utility. Not necessarily essential (especially at bosses, that, you know, don't actually move)but it is one of the good points that i do like to point out. I've never been high enough of a level and never well connected enough to go to anything other than zakum or scarlion/targa runs, so I guess I'm limited there, but I'm sure there are others who are much more educated on the subject than I am.
I do like the invincibility that Barrage gives us though as it allows us to avoid things like 1/1 and stun. Now we have none of that, so I guess we get to suffer like everyone else.
