For one, these monsters have blue text announcements when they spawn just like area bosses. You are alerted to their presence immediately. If someone doesn't care enough to educate themselves on the goings on in game then they deserve to get sent back several times. >_> Honestly, are there really people who don't read the notices, at least at patch time? Not to mention the game launcher itself is gonna be shoving the announcement in your face.
This does not sound good at all.
Plus, as mentioned before, what about the poor legit players who don't read forums, websites, or even Nexon's annoucements? They wouldn't know why this monster has this power, or how to disable it.
I don't think we have such a problem with botting that such measures need to be taken.
it's pretty common sense on how to get rid of them, for some of them (like Shade which I used in that example) have an NPC right at the beginning of the map. Anyone will notice "Hey that's new" and click it, or just out of curiosity. If they don't read the announcements OR even do this, then well that's tough luck. It'll teach them to pay attention in the future. For the other bot-catching monsters, the mechanism to defeat it is a reactor, and there's an explanation on the reactor of how to eliminate it.
The other thing is that most of the maps where bot catching monsters appear on are relatively close to town. Wraiths are what, 4 maps away from the subway? The Snow witch spawns 3 and 5 maps outside of El Nath. The ones in Magatia are only 2 maps in. The only one where it's a real problem to get sent back is Lich at Zombies.
Then there are people who go around and kill the bot-catching monsters because they drop cards. It really won't be a big deal.
