That's what we call an argument from ignorance, and it is a logical fallacy.
The burden of proof lies on those claiming that such a glitch exists, not on the ones who believe it doesn't.

Attempting to use "lulz its Nexon" as evidence that a glitch might be real is just as faulty.

Except that the example you used is not believable, where as a 100% scroll failing has happened before in Maplestory and worse things and is believable. It's not an argument from ignorance, it's an argument from experience.
I never said it was up to those not claiming it to prove it, only that them saying it hasn't happened to them isn't proof that it's not happening. Honestly, when there is no proof around people act like Nexon is the best company and always creates perfect updates with no glitches. If anyone has played the game for any decent length of time, they'd know Nexon is completely opposite to that. No proof =/= false rumour. I never tried to prove it either. Just said I am happy to believe it because of the company we are dealing with and it's past.
