There's buttloads of precedent out there were things that formerly came at a cost were later made free for the sake of encouraging more users that might spend more money elsewhere.
I mean, I realize that this is a glitch, but, were Nexon to officially remove the pay-to-upgrade skill system, those who paid for the skill books would have just as little room to complain as those who paid full price for Team Fortress 2.
