I can actually give ya a formula to help you calculate which is better:
Let's say you're trying to figure out if 10 att FS with 10% stat or shoes with 0 att but 15% stat is better for you:
Add up all your weapon attack (except for watt on shoes), then add up all of your %stat (except for the one on the shoes):
ex: you have 200 total attack (no shoes) and 50% stat
to see which is better you compare:
The 10att 10% stat FS
(200+10) @@ (50+10)
_______ * ________ = 1.26
200 @@@@@ 50
(had to use @'s as placeholders to make it look a bit better. That first part is 210/200 multiplied with 60/50.
On the other hand the 0 att 15% shoes:
(200+0) @@ (50+15)
_______ * ________ = 1.3
200 @@@@@ 50
so 15% stat > 10 att 10% stat for you, at this moment.
NOTE: i'm ignoring the possibility of the shoes coming with something like... 8 dex or something on em. that can be taken into account as well using the formula below
General formula!
"old stat" refers to however much stat you have on WITHOUT %stat factored in and WITHOUT the new equip that you're trying to compare
"old % stat" refers to how much %stat you have without the new equip
"old watt" refers to your total watt without the new equip.
Multiply these together:
1)(old stat+stat on new equip)/oldstat
2)(old %stat + %stat on new equip)/(old %stat)
3)(old watt + watt on equip)/(old watt)
you'll get something like... 1.3 with one shoe in mind.. but 1.5 with another, then the second shoe is better for you.
((note2: it's usually best to ignore step 1 since it takes long to calculate how much "old stat" you have... and wont make too big of a difference if your gear doesn't have like 15+dex or something on it. ))
