If there are jobs in Mississippi, there must be jobs in Washington. It makes perfect sense.
Older people also have to buy a house, buy a car etc. But obviously every job in existence pays enough to do that and if they can't afford it they're just lazy and should work more because there are an abundance of hours on offer.

They're not long-term and don't have families to support so things like benefits and future raises aren't expected. They're just happy to be making minimum wage. They're also more physically able to do things than older people.
