If you don't mind having bad hardware, and don't mind having an appliance as a computer, go iOS. It does boast some of the best audio editing software.
If you wand a middle of the road computer, and aren't a complete fucktard on the internet (so you don't get viruses), go Windows.
If you want a computer for programming or for a server computer, go Linux.
Ultimately, they all have strengths and weaknesses. Nothing is really better than the other, because they all can't do everything.
