CWK right now is a joke. Also hope they drop the required attendance to 1 of each class. Judging on how the hardest boss in the game also has a limited number of expedition slots, it wouldn't be unjustified to reduce the necessary limit of sign up mules.
I agree with what you're saying though: they need to cut the pomegranate with the convoluted run requirements.
While we're on that, obtaining Eyes of Fire shouldn't require you to recomplete those stupid prequests.
These sorts of things just limit the number of people who can actually partake in the content that's out there.
