I don't understand why people say Old maple was so much better
#39
My personal idea of this is that it is mostly nostalgia, however since BB and potential, that has changed significantly. In my eyes up to that point the game was still a "game" rather than the job it is now. I know that may sound odd, but hang on for a minute. These changes made leveling up and doing more damage (non-comparative) much easier than they were before, meaning less of a grind, right? While this is true, in the process of doing so they removed and altered the game content to such an extent that it was made "exclusively" to be beneficial to leveling. They disregarded other aspects of the game and threw them together in a shoddy patchwork to make it seem like the whole package was still there. In focusing on the levels and damage, they have ignored the story continuity, feelings of accomplishment, collection, and exploration aspects of the game.

To summarize my discontent; they've turned it into a glorified dress-up plus calculator. And the saddest part is that people accept and enjoy that. At least I'm glad to say ALL of my friends have now quit as well. Soon as I'm done with a couple more goals, I'll leave with content.

This is a personal opinion, and I won't be bothered to justify it. If you read my sig which I've had for years, you'd see that I've always held this opinion.
