When you reached this step, how did you go to the next one? It seems like you somehow dropped the exp(-iθWink terms. Going backwards from your work:

i - 2i /(1+3exp(iθWink)
= i - 2i /(3exp(iθWink+1)
= i (3exp(iθWink+1) /(3exp(iθWink+1) - 2i /(3exp(iθWink+1)
= (3i*exp(iθWink +i -2i) /(3exp(iθWink+1)
= (3i*exp(iθWink -i) /(3exp(iθWink+1)
?

I don't have a professor. I'm not taking a class for this. And I thought z can map to infinitely many values, or so it seems from the Riemann surfaces resembling overlapping spirals.

I looked it up. I'm wondering: how do I change the base of a complex logarithm? The formula log(a) {base b} = log(b) /log(a) doesn't seem to be working.
