Let me take your soccer example and compare it to the situation where it makes sense (because in what soccer game is kicking more than one ball involved? Really? Your example has NOTHING to do with KSing).
You're playing a soccer game with your friends in the park. Suddenly, some random guy comes on and kicks your ball away from you, joining in the game.
"What the hell man, you weren't invited to this game, can you get off the field?"
"This isn't your field, why should I?"
