I understand this is war, but I don't want any more of the main characters to be killed off or maybe sakura dying wouldn't hurt she talks and cries entirely to much.

Sakura will absolutely not die. Although I agree, she's useless dead weight and I hope Naruto pursues Hinata, assuming he lives.
