Just how legit is using a controller to play MS?

Yeah, having your character perform actions that benefit you while you're AFK = botting. We've established this.

You know where. I don't want to drag up the thread, but two people got banned for admitting to botting FM spots.

Quote:They both might be "hacking in your book" but they're not the same in Nexon's book (ToS)

These two rules happened to be conveniently right next to each other in the ToS. Botting and Hacking are two different things. Both are against the terms of service, but the latter just happens to be the more severe of the two.

Conclusion- Botting and Hacking are both against the ToS. Both of them are not the same thing, and hacking comes with a much harsher punishment. Everyone knows botting is illegit, but people do it anyway in the form of taking FM spots and using HS mules. But Botting IS NOT hacking.

So why do FM guilds continue to bot FM spots? It's against the ToS you agree, correct? So are you admitting your whole FM guild and other FM guilds should be banned for using "controller options" to take over the market?
