Finished the game myself just the other day, too.
Overall, I've very pleased with it. I'd prefer to have the sequel to such a great game on one of the big consoles, like PS3, so it could've been even better, but for what it was, Okamiden was definitely worth the buy. A solid sequel to Okami, and I love how it intertwined itself with the original's story.
I was actually quite surprised at how hard some of the bosses were. I never died in the game, but some of the bosses really gave me a beating. I never had that happen in the first game.
Later on, there are way too many characters and it just feels a bit hectic, but I could live with it. The fact that your ink pots don't refill was also a little weird at first, but I got used to it pretty quick and almost never had the problem of running out, even during ink pot-heavy parts. There was slow-down at times in the game, too, which got somewhat annoying, but thankfully those slow-downs only lasted for a few seconds at most. I was personally also hoping for more new, or unique Celestial Brush techniques, which it did not deliver on, but with the obvious (and aggravating) sequel-baiting the game did, there may be another chance for them to do so.
Overall, I'd say the game gets a 8.8 out of 10.
I also gotta say... this is probably the cutest game I have ever played. Chibiterasu is just so adorable. I found myself "awww"ing way too often.
