Dammit Capcom, stop sequel hoaring. That's obviously a setup for another game with the information you left out and the way it was told.

So now that the origin of darkness, vessel and all are gone from the plane of mortals. The only way for them to add on to this would be working on the celestial plane. But then that leaves out Kuni's adventures. So even though a sequel is obvious at this point, I'm not sure how they'll work it out.
Another question. What was Yami's vessel of light? By appearances, I'd say that it was one of the spirits of the brush in the form of a seal.

And a gripe. Manpuku was entirely unnecessary. The story was getting good, past all the introductions and beginning to reveal bits of information that was left out of the original. Then, BAM. Oh hey, another character. With no real values.

As for how I'd rate the game. I'd improve what I said earlier about it being "silver" to about a 91%. The story made a nice recovery for the most part, and the music was grand as the original. It had style, but also some shortcomings in gameplay and overall stylus detection during cutscenes. The package as a whole was definitely worth my money though.

Hmm, on second thought I'd knock it back down to a 87% because of those shortcomings. Too much love for the Original can be blinding sometimes.
