The problem I have with specific categories is that the point of this is to not box people in. You're supposed to submit two of your favorite songs, not two of your favorite songs from a specific genre. What if it were, say, a tournament of rap picks? I for one can't stand rap (unless it's done by Weird Al, I suppose, so bad example 
), so what (other than submit Weird Al) would I do? Diversity in songs makes it interesting, and it's also why we need diversity (and numbers) in voters.
