Julian Assange is a brave man for what he does, and really Interpol is using a blanket tactic to bring him in for questioning without merit. If anything, I see this, IF Mr. Assange is arrested, he will not be allowed to live, period. Interpol and those of it's more sinister sides involved in corruption, coverups, and other dealings of malice will literally have him erased from the face of the earth. His best interest IMO is to release information about this on WikiLinks and discredit Interpol... then go into hiding.

I feel WikiLinks may be trying to show the world the level of corruption and malicious dealings that have gone on within governments now for quite some time and showing that the public often does need to know information and make better decisions involving their future. Governments now are just power hungry and WikiLinks IMO is being the fuse that breaks the circuit of lies and exposes the truth of what is really going on.
About that last paragraph I have to agree with you except in "showing that to the publick often does good stuff":
That only applies in countries where people care about what happens and are strong and confident about their political position. Having ideals, standing up for them and, really, just acting according to them is what makes information of this kind a useful thing while taking future decisions and what not. Knowing anything related to politics is useless, you'll feel angry for 5mins and then forget about it because there's always more important stuff to do like watch TV, buy stuff or work. It would be like knowing numbers but not knowing how to use them. Since most part of the world doesn't know, doesn't care or is just to afraid to have an ideal and act according to it there will be no change, no better decisions in a near future. I don't know if I'm beign clear.
However, there are tons of examples in Latin America that will probably help me explain my point:
In the country where I live there's ton of info about corruption and massacres with support or related to the goverment. We usually read about it every day in the newspapers, once a month or so there's a new scandal related to those kind of incidents. Yet since most people doesn't know how to read they won't notice something's happening until it hits them, newspapers are owned by people that are part of the govermen, or related to it, most people doesn't watch TV news because stupid mexican soap operas are by far more interesting. The people who care and takes action are pursued by goverment institutions or ilegal groups until they can go somewhere else where they feel safe or they get killed.
We either don't know, don't care, or we're just too scared of the goverment and their legal and ilegal groups pursuing us for something we think and feel as RIGHT. (and this happens a lot of countries of central and southamerica)
We have the information, yet is useless. In most parts of the world is the same, even where people is known for the social/political commitment... If only citizens around the world felt the rage some of us might feel when we know about something that's completly wrong, unfair, ilegal, legal but pineappleing retarded, and took peaceful action against those who are doing wrong...The day a majority takes a political view, ideal or whatever, that will be the day information, development and whatnot will matter and the day the world will change.
As for the Julian Assagne, he is certanly brave. I hope he gets his exile and he keeps getting and publishing information that someday might become useful. (or that's helping little by little)
