School = Brainwash?

School's only necessary if you want to have a better chance of getting into a better career. I'm going to college because I want a better chance of getting into a decent job that pays more. That is it. Truthfully, I think that some classes are necessary for your career, while some aren't. I still don't understand why my university is forcing me to take "Arts & Humanities", as well as "United States history" in order to graduate even though I am an IT major. I would understand taking Mythology classes, because of the usages of symbols. I would understand why Math is an absolute must, I can even understand why taking Speech & English courses would be beneficial, but not classes that aren't even correlated to your career.

Also, similar to how a piece of paper never really meant anything. We gave it a symbolic meaning and representation. Dollar bills = a form of currency. We give it a value, and that's why we treat it with utmost importance. I would like to say that "school" is the same (note that I didn't say "Education"). Gaining knowledge is great, ...only if you're making use of it. What's the point of gaining knowledge that you think you'll never be able to use?

Of course, I attend college like a lot of people. It doesn't mean I have to like it, nor should I expect myself to change my views near the future.
