What HP is needed to survive Castellan's attacks (For mages+ others)?

After taking a while to get to Castellan in Ninja Castle, I finally reached him, hit him once and then he attacks me... I die lol. My character (FP mage) has 2.5k HP and 13.5k MP and MG of course. Would I need to have 13k HP or something in order to survive this boss's attack, or would HB/Decent HB suffice? What about other classes? Are high HP warriors the only ones who can survive there atm? Thanks for the answers
