I think the clue was about the killer, but it doesn't point to Synthesist in my view (and no, I don't have any revelations, it's got me a bit stumped), and on top of that I wasn't convinced that a lynch today would be in our favor. Alright, might I enquire as to how your view the clue? Not requiring any answer as to who it might be about, but your intepretations couldn't hurt. As for the lynching part, I can see the reasoning, but I also feel that if Synthesist is mafia, then that was hardly to our advantage. However, there's little point in discussing that currently since he wasn't lynched, and so long as he's not killed tonight, we won't know for sure whether he's townie or mafia. Assuming he even can be killed since it's not clarified whether he's been kidnapped or just saved from lynch or something else as of yet. Anyway, I guess we'll just have to wait and see how tomorrow turns out I guess.
