Hey, I need some step by step instructions on how to boot windows xp because I have windows 7 and I am having problems right now. I know how to partition. The problem comes from after such as not knowing where to get a good and proper windows xp download as well as burning it and rebooting so it works. I tried using nero 10 and burned a disk and when i restarted the computer and ran the disk, the blue screen where it says it'll shut down because of possible damage to computer came up and I could not proceed.
I did some research on google and found out that many people had the blue screen issue when they try to install windows xp.

according to this, it looks like I have to go to BIOS and change the SATA mode from ACHI? to something called IDE. Apparently all I have to do is go into BIOS and there will be a setting and can be easily changed but when I went in there, I couldn't find anything about it. I researched and it looked like other people had the same problem but I couldn't find a solution to it haha
