So uhh yesterday I felt really bored....

And decided to write a love letter to a girl i haven't seen in years and ask her out on a date.

It wasn't love at first sight. It wasn't love on the seond one either. It was cupid shooting my heart at a most unexpected time, and with a double-barrel shotgun at point blank range instead of a crossbow. This was too much overkill for me to do anything at that time and at that moment. I don't know why cupid picked me and I don't know why he would use such force. All I know is that the wound is impossible to ignore. I never did anything to try and heal it until now because I felt that high school was not the right time and place to start a what almost always futile relationship. I now know why cupid did this to me. Cupid did this to me because I could have easily took out an arrow, quickly forgetting the temporary feeling in the heart that doesn't last very long. No, he had to shoot me with shotgun because the shards can't be removed, in fact they dig deeper and deeper into the heart until you can't stand it anymore.
And up until this moment I stood it.
All the more tragic is the fact that you are moving to California. You know what though? Suppose we do find that we are right for each other. Im not afraid of that. Me being me, I'd pack my bags the first opportunity and chase you there because if were really something to me I would not drop a relationship over a small obstacle such as distance, I would fight to keep it with all my heart. Know that.

Her response:

Alex, this is all too sweet. I haven’t seen you in years nor have we spoken in years, I’m more than surprised to hear your confession. We’ve barely spoken at all so that’s why it’s hard to believe how much you actually like me. Let’s not take this to the public, I shall email you and we’ll discuss this further.

I'll be damned.
I know how long this girl waits before saying an answer.
It will be two weeks or more.
I dont WANNA WAIT TO WEEKS OR MORE.
I was hoping to get a quick rejection because I believe in the Gamblers Fallacy and I feel that the more rejections I can get the more likely the next one will be an acceptance.
I was hoping to apply my belief of the Gamblers Fallacy and apply it to college.
Im not sure if I even like this girl.
If I get a yes answer it puts me in a position which isn't comfortable.
If I get a no I wont be able to ask a girl out in college sooner.
If I get a yes and go on the date and like it it can only end tragically because I know I won't follow her to LA (Or will I)



Sigh someone slap me and tell me that the gamblers fallacy is a statistical lie that I know is not true. I need some sense beaten into me. SRSLY.
