Rather than flesh out my own reactions, I'll simply state the most important by (a) echoing Swerve's distaste at Obi-Wan's unnatural ability to cut off half of the General's arms within a minute, when the General was capable of taking down multiple Jedi single-handedly (no pun intended), and (b) the fact that Grievous dies by the end of it, with what, a blaster shot to the chest? After all of his appendages are gone, iirc? What the hell is that.
Ditto again to Swerve with The Clone Wars series on Cartoon Network. Some of the best 5 minute action clips I've seen in my life, most favorably Mace Windu's on the dusty battlefield about a quarter way through the series.
on the clone wars animated series (not that CGI BS, the cartoon style), seeing that pale chick kick royal ass was awesome, and getting to see yoda in action at any time is great. but one thing i never got fully was how/why grievous became a cyborg, and why he was trained in the force. okay, so he was a merc/bounty hunter that pissed off the wrong people, then got cybernetic implants for some reason, so now he only has a few bits and scraps of his former living self. okay, we get he has awesome ability and talent with the sword, and its always awesome seeing a villain kill a good guy then steal their weapon for his own usage.
all in all grievous was a very interesting character. but on the topic of let downs: Dooku. okay, he stands up to Yoda, Obi-wan, AND anakin in the 2nd movie, and yet dies so damned easily in the third? you mean to tell me that im supposed to believe that Dooku forgot how to use force push while Anakin was holding the sabers near his neck and LOOKING AWAY AT THE CHANCELOR/EMPEROR? yeah yeah, it's for the sake of the plot, but still. and what about that Darth whatshisface Palpatine mentions to Anakin, was Palpatine his former pupil or something?
