After just deciding to finish the "finding jack" quest i'm led to believe this may well be olde sapp village, since if you follow the masteria storyline we had the HH, then crimsonwood forest, and finally crimsonwood keep. Since the versal grandmasters are trying to figure out crimsonhearts grave in mesogears, maybe that's going to be the portal leading to the next area, since that's where crimsonheart was born after all.

Only NLC is what was built on the ground where Olde Sappe Village stood before the sinking of the continent. In the original hauned house questline the stepmother asks you to get her a cherry pie from Olde sappe, and you buy those in NLC.
