MapleStory has serious compatibility issues with Windows 7.
I'm on Windows 7 64 bit and the game just became unplayable there. I had to create a dual boot with Windows XP so that I could play from there. Since I've installed it, all those problems have disappeared and I rarely ever crash/disconnect (it does happen once in a while anyways, but it's NORMAL compared to the MASSIVE amount of issues I had almost every minute on Windows 7).
It was really hard to find video/audio (especially the latter) drivers for Windows XP for this computer, as it wasn't supposed to be used with that OS. I mean, come on, who would want to downgrade to such a horrible OS? I'd understand if it was from Vista, but Windows 7 is okay.
On Windows 7 I can't even go to the Cash Shop else there'll be a high chance that the client will crash. It crashes while training, while going to maps, while going to the Cash Shop, it ALWAYS does, no matter what.
@ Nexon: NO, UPDATING THE VIDEO DRIVERS OR FOLLOW YOUR STEPS WON'T SOLVE THE PROBLEMS. The problem is your inability to code. Please get your fact straight, Customer Support.
I hope that KMS' Windows Vista/7 compatible client will also allow us to do Zakum/HornTail runs without crashing.
