I'm surprised no one has mentioned this but:
They say you get a potential scroll and a magnifying glass when you reach level 10.
If that magnifying glass is for levels 30-, then there's no way to reveal potential on higher level equipment, best thing you'd be able to do is make your equips unidentified, that if the potential scroll doesn't have special restrictions.
