It's not technically a glitch, but rather in the vein of a typographical error. A mistake, an oversight, but not really a glitch.
Nice to see that they're actively acknowledging it. Glad to see that they plan on fixing it, especially since a fix to this should be easier than most problems, even if the problem can't be retroactively addressed in those who have already abused this mistake.
