That kinda works. However though, this law, the Immigration Act of 1965 (formally known as the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965) was a hallmark legislation (in terms of immigration) where immigration restrictions were loosened (and shifted the bulk of the immigration to Latin America and Asia). And that was passed during the Vietnam War.
If you dropped that in (alluding to it), that was the key thing the AP readers may be looking for in the "New Immigration" portion of #5.
Overall though, what you said may get you some points, despite the fact you forgot to drop in the 1965 law. You did mention "diversity" and "prosperity", the "cause and effect" for the "New Immigration" (aka you did answer the prompt in some way or form)
