Fixing it isn't too difficult, though.
Start in safe mode with networking, use command prompt to delete avvscan.dat, restore svchost.exe from system32/dllcache, fixed.
The sick irony is no one will be able to look up this information on their computer because it's borked. At least not until they go to the Library or something.
