Hugs = show love to friends family and other such loved ones. Hell it can even be to a random person, granted they give you permission first. People who are angered/jealous about someone hugging someone else should think about it themselves (and learn to trust their partner's judgement). I know many guys/girls who hug other people that aren't their significant other and it's perfectly fine.
